Terms of Use

Last updated: October 1, 2026

The short version: CalcBlast is a study tool. Use it to learn and practice math; don't rely on it as your only source for graded work, and don't misuse it. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.

Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or using CalcBlast, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What CalcBlast is

CalcBlast is an educational app that generates math practice questions, lessons, tutoring explanations, and feedback on work you submit, using artificial intelligence. It is intended as a study aid to help you learn and practice — not as a substitute for instruction from a qualified teacher, or as an authoritative source for graded assignments, exams, or academic credit.

AI-generated content may contain errors

Questions, explanations, lessons, hints, and work-checking feedback are generated or assisted by AI and may occasionally be incorrect, incomplete, or misleading. We use deterministic math verification where we can to reduce this, but we do not guarantee that any AI-generated content is accurate. Always double-check important work using your own judgment or a trusted source, especially before relying on it for a grade.

Accounts

You can use CalcBlast without an account (guest mode). If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. You may delete your account at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Please don't use CalcBlast to:

We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate this section.

Your content

When you submit text, photos, PDFs, or audio to CalcBlast (for example, a photo of your work, a course syllabus, or a voice question), you retain ownership of it. You grant us the limited right to process that content — including sending it to our AI provider — and, for signed-in features like Check My Work history and Professor Practice courses, to store the text extracted from it until you delete it, solely to provide the feature you used, as described in our Privacy Policy. Only upload course materials you're allowed to use for your own study. We don't claim ownership of what you submit, and we don't use it to train our own models.

Third-party services

CalcBlast relies on third-party services to operate, including Apple (Sign in with Apple), Clerk (authentication), Neon (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting), and OpenAI (AI processing). Your use of CalcBlast is also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable to the services they provide us.

Intellectual property

The CalcBlast app, its design, and its non-user-submitted content are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the app for your personal, non-commercial learning purposes. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the app itself without permission.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

CalcBlast is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on AI-generated content. Nothing in these terms is intended to limit any rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms over time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above.

It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer, and does not specify a governing law/jurisdiction — both are recommended before treating this as a final, binding legal document.
